1953 Canadian Silver Dollar, mintage 1,074,578. Mintage of Silver Dollars started to rise as did the price of silver, but still under a $1.00 per ounce. Again the 1953 Dollar has 4 varieties, 1953 NSF,FWL ( No shoulder fold and full water line), 1953 NSF,SWL ( No shoulder fold and single water line), 1953 SF,FWL (Shoulder fold and full water lines) and 1953 SF,SWL (Shoulder fold and signle water line). The first one shown here is a 1953 NSF,FWL, condition around EF-40, trend around $15.00 to $25.00. This coin was acually a flaw as the queen had no Shoulder Strap (NSF) mintage was stopped to correct this situation. Easy coin to obtain though, sell on E-Bay for various prices.
